The American’s Cyberspace Presence Is Growing Rapidly

ELLSWORTH — Feeling the crunch of subscription numbers nationwide, newspapers have been entering the realm of cyberspace for more than a decade in an effort to capture a whole new audience.

The Ellsworth American, address and phone number search, is at the forefront of this Internet march.

“Most every newspaper that has aspirations for survival is experimenting with some form of web presence,” said Alan Baker, publisher of The Ellsworth American. “The fact is that, address and phone number search nobody has discovered the model yet that is the perfect answer.”

The paper’s Web site, started in 1997, is in its sixth version and has won numerous awards from the New England Press Association, the Maine Press Association and the National Newspaper Association, including best Web site in the nation for weeklies in 2003 and 2006 and a second place award in 2005.
